Module 10 · Lesson 3 of 3
Turn on the AI label when you post.
Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube ask you to mark AI-made videos. Turning on the AI label builds trust with your readers.
The steps
Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube ask you to mark AI-made videos. Some add an “AI content” tag themselves.
Turn the label on when the app asks. Being upfront builds trust with your readers.
Where to find it
The label is on the screen where you write your post. Apps move it often, so look for these words.
TikTok: tap More options, then turn on the AI-generated content setting.
Instagram and Facebook: on the sharing screen, turn on Add AI label. Viewers see “AI info” on your post.
Can’t see it? Look under Advanced settings or More options.
YouTube: while you upload, answer Yes to the question about AI or altered content.
Check your film
Open the AI Video Disclosure Checker. Tick where you’ll post and what AI made.
It shows which apps expect a label and where to set it.
Do this now
Check which apps need a label, then find the AI label setting in the app you’ll post on.
Check yourself
- Do you know which apps you’ll post your film on?
- Did you find the AI label setting in at least one of them?
If any answer is no, go back over the steps, or look below.
Stuck?
- I can’t find the label in my app.
- Update the app first. Then search the app’s help pages for “AI label”.
- I posted without the label.
- Edit the post and turn the label on, if the app lets you. If it doesn’t, delete it and post it again.
- I’m worried the label puts readers off.
- Say it yourself in the caption: “I made this film from my book with AI.” Readers respect being told.
