Write your book by chatting in Claude.
Add BookWriter as a custom connector in Claude and finish a real book in conversation. You steer, the AI drafts, and every word you write is kept verbatim.
How to connect & set up
Claude connects as a custom connector. Paste one Server URL, approve over OAuth, and you’re writing.
Your Server URL
https://www.bookwriter.vip/api/mcp/v1Claude connects from Anthropic’s cloud, so the Server URL must be public (a deployed https URL — not localhost). Claude signs you in over OAuth, so there’s no token to paste. Open your connection page to authorize.
- 1In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and click + Add custom connector. (Connectors recently moved under “Customize.”)
- 2Name it BookWriter and paste the Server URL below.
- 3Click Connect → Approve. Claude authorizes over OAuth — there is no token to paste.
- 4Start a chat and say “Start a new book” to begin.
The write-a-book loop
Set up the book, write a seed paragraph, hand it off, sharpen, accept — then repeat. Your words are never overwritten.
- 1
Set up the book
Tell Claude your premise and length. create_book spins up a real project — title, word target, chapter plan — not a blank prompt box.
- 2
Write a seed paragraph
Type a paragraph or a few lines to open the chapter. Those words are your seed, kept exactly as you wrote them.
- 3
Hand it off
handoff lets the engine finish the chapter in your voice, built around your words — your sentences are kept verbatim, never overwritten.
- 4
Sharpen, then accept
sharpen nudges the draft lighter or stronger until it reads right. accept_chapter locks it in and you repeat for the next chapter.
