Direct answer guide

Choose review or extend at the word goal

Decide whether the planned manuscript is complete or needs a higher target.

Direct answer

Direct answer

Reaching the word goal does not automatically complete a book. If the approved chapter plan is finished, prepare the manuscript for review. If the story needs more planned work, explicitly raise the target and update the blueprint before continuing.

Review

Choose review only after every planned chapter is accepted. Review-ready remains editable and does not freeze a publication snapshot.

Extend

Choose a higher target deliberately. Extending never lowers a concurrently increased goal or consumes a publication package.

Do not infer completion

A numeric target is a checkpoint, not author approval. The assistant should ask which path the author wants.

Frequently asked

Does hitting the target publish the book?

No. Review and finalization are separate explicit steps.
